Marriage Therapy, Divorce and Other Issues

Couples Therapy Sessions

How does marriage work to tear people down, leaving them feeling bitter or diminished, dulled or lost.

She seems to want to create her own misery because of the comfort miserey provides her.

Dead and lifeless marriages abound.

To her, the deadness is very precious

What would it be like if as in the Puritan villages of old, representatives from the larger community were to step in, calm the fighting couple down, stress the larger social importance of their well-being and offer support and help by redirecting their energies away from mutilating each other toward something more cooperative?

Ah! Such isolation that modern couples are experiencing!

One of the spouses continues to be controlling and demanding, rude and uncooperative at times.

Conflicts and bad communications skills are destroyers of marriage. Divorce is the only recourse for many of them.

Couples therapy is about communication and the collection of fees. It is not a science. The couples therapist is a facilitator of conflicts and a guide to Eureka

Modern marriages are synonymous with repressed anger and dissatisfaction

On the road to divorce, a wife or a husband wants to be herself or himself. None of them may not be ready to discuss matters. Too many issues to discuss!

Some say maybe unjustly that marriage is the negation of years of freedom and independence found in divorce. Others state that divorce is the opportunity to make a better or third selection the second or third time around.

All over the land, there is a strong cry and a yearning for marriages that are stress-free and soul satisfying. What have modern marriages come to signify?

Just a long catalog of unresolved family of-origin isssues.
